If you haven't watched In The Flesh yet, just please do it. You are missing out on one of the best shows I have ever had the great pleasure (and agony might be added) to watch and I can say that without even thinking about it twice. Some of the great things about the show:

It deals with being an outcast in so many real ways

It deals with mental illness

It deals with how people react with the unknown  

There is good queer representation

There are amazing female characters

There is amazing and realistic character development 

There are bad guys that you can still sympathize with

And if all those reasons isn't enough there is also good music and it's beautifully shot. I could recommend this show to almost everyone I know and I'm 90% sure they would like it.
